You Haven't Really Seen Chicago Until You've Been Inside 1 North LaSalle.

Walk by it once and you'll notice another handsome, vintage, somewhat grey but ornamented Chicago skyscraper. Walk inside, and you'll wonder why no one talks about this place.

Hidden just beyond the front doors of 1 North LaSalle is one of downtown Chicago's great Art Deco experiences, a lobby where bronze glows like jewelry, elevator doors become sculpture, and every light fixture, carved panel, and geometric detail reminds you that buildings were once designed to inspire as much as they were to function.

This isn't decoration. It's craftsmanship on full display.

Stand in front of the elevators for a minute. The intricate bronze reliefs. The stylized eagles. The repeating patterns. The marble walls. The soaring fixtures that look more like works of art than lighting. Every surface tells the story of an era when Chicago believed architecture should leave you speechless.

And then something unexpected happens.

Beyond this remarkable historic shell is a thoroughly modern workplace. Bright, contemporary office spaces. Updated amenities. Flexible environments built for how people work today. It's a reminder that Chicago doesn't have to choose between preserving its past and embracing its future. The best buildings do both. That's what makes 1 North LaSalle so compelling.

It's not frozen in time. It's alive.

The building quietly demonstrates what is happening throughout the LaSalle corridor. Historic architecture is finding a new purpose. Classic landmarks are welcoming a new generation of businesses, residents, restaurants, and experiences. Downtown isn't simply being restored. It's being reimagined.

So here's a challenge. The next time you're in the Loop, put your phone away for five minutes and look up. Better yet, step inside. Marvel at the details. Study the bronze. Ride the elevator.

Remember that some of Chicago's greatest treasures aren't behind museum glass. They're hidden in plain sight, waiting just inside the front door. This is the Chicago we hope more people discover.

One remarkable building at a time.
